Week 5 Heroes & Zeros

This was a great week to play…

QBs
Deshaun Watson, Texans – Dazzled again with 261 passing yards and 5 TDs, plus 31 rushing yards, with nary a blemish.
Cam Newton, Panthers – Continued his rebound with 355 passing yards and 3 TDs, no turnovers and no stupid quotes.
Carson Wentz, Eagles – Overcame the heralded Cardinals secondary with 304 passing yards and 4 TDs, with 1 INT.
Dak Prescott, Cowboys – He threw a pick-six, but he also tallied 251 passing yards and 3 TDs, plus 37 rushing yards and a 4th score.
Aaron Rodgers, Packers – Though he started slowly, he engineered yet another masterful comeback, finishing with 221 passing yards, 32 rushing yards and 3 TDs.
Alex Smith, Chiefs – Passed for 324 yards and 3 TDs, plus 19 rushing yards, without a turnover.

RBs
Melvin Gordon, Chargers – Played up to his draft stock with 105 rushing yards and 6 catches for 58 yards and a pair of TDs.
Leonard Fournette, Jaguars – Raced for 181 yards and 2 TDs.
Jerick McKinnon, Vikings – Upstaged Latavius Murray with 95 rushing yards and a TD, plus 6 receptions for another 51 yards.

WRs
A.J. Green, Bengals – Made some mistakes, including a fumble, but finished with 7 receptions for 189 yards and a TD.
Davante Adams, Packers – Returned from his concussion to grab 7 passes for 66 yards and 2 TDs.
DeAndre Hopkins, Texans – Only caught 4 passes, but tallied 52 yards and a TD trifecta.
Will Fuller, Texans – Scored on both of his receptions, with 57 yards through the air.
Tyreek Hill, Chiefs – Caught 4 passes for 68 yards and returned a punt for a TD.
T.Y. Hilton, Colts – Took 7 receptions 177 yards.
Antonio Brown, Steelers – Grabbed 10 balls for 157 yards.

TEs
Ed Dickson, Panthers – Caught 5 passes for 175 yards.

Ks
Harrison Butker, Chiefs – Nailed all 5 of his FG attempts, from 35, 35, 41, 42 and 49 yards, plus 3 XPs.

D/STs
Jaguars – Collected 2 sacks, 5 INTs and 2 TDs on those interceptions while holding the Steelers to 9 points.

This was a great week to play against…

QBs
Ben Roethlisberger, Steelers – Tossed 5 picks and no TDs while amassing 312 yards.
Blake Bortles, Jaguars – Looked mediocre again, with 95 passing yards, no TDs and 1 INT.
Jared Goff, Rams – Had 288 passing and 22 rushing yards, but no TDs and 3 turnovers.
Joe Flacco, Ravens – Won his game, but did it with just 222 passing yards and no TDs.
Sam Bradford, Vikings – Returned and looked miserable, passing for just 36 yards.

RBs
Derrick Henry, Titans – Finished with 9 rushing yards, and that’s it.
Carlos Hyde, 49ers – Was a bystander for much of the game, amassing just 18 combined yards.
Bilal Powell, Jets – Settled for 5 rushing and 28 receiving yards.
Chris Johnson, Cardinals – Totaled just 29 yards on the day.
Eddie Lacy, Seahawks – Had just 19 rushing and 9 receiving yards.
Thomas Rawls, Seahawks – Returned to collect 35 combined yards.
Ameer Abdullah, Lions – Rushed for 31 yards and caught a 3 yarder.
Tarik Cohen, Bears – The bloom is off the rose after a 13-yard rushing night (and a 6-yard loss on his only catch).
Todd Gurley, Rams – Ran for 43 yards and caught 2 passes for 7 more.
Jay Ajayi, Dolphins – Ran for 77 yards, but lost a fumble, and added 2 receptions for 2 measly yards.

WRs
Sammy Watkins, Rams – Came up zeros.
Stefon Diggs, Vikings – Aggravated his groin (who hasn’t?) and finished with a 4-yard catch.
DeVante Parker, Dolphins – Had a 6 yarder.
Amari Cooper, Raiders – Settled for an 8-yard catch this week. WTF?
Sterling Shepard, Giants – Caught a 9 yarder before exiting with an ankle injury.
Brandon Marshall, Giants – He left early also, after catching 2 passes for 15 yards.
Travis Benjamin, Chargers – Picked up 18 yards on 2 receptions.
Martavis Bryant, Steelers – Limited to 21 yards on 5 catches, plus a 13-yard run.
Tyrell Williams, Chargers – Caught a 22-yard pass.
Randall Cobb, Packers – Just 29 yards on 4 receptions.
Alshon Jeffery, Eagles – Only 31 yards on 3 catches.
Eric Decker and Rishard Matthews, Titans – Both finished with 34 receiving yards.
Doug Baldwin, Seahawks – His 4 catches resulted in 37 yards.

TEs
Evan Engram, Giants – Laid a goose egg despite the WRs around him dropping like flies.
Eric Ebron, Lions – Had a 6 yarder.
Delanie Walker, Titans – Just 25 yards on 3 catches.

Charles Clay, Bills – Left injured after taking 2 passes 31 yards.
