Sunday morning observations -- Week 6

Good morning, Fools ... from Sound Bend, Indiana. I've been attending a wedding here this weekend, and will be spending some time in Chicago today before heading home. I'm telling you this because I probably won't be tweeting much (if any) today, so you may have to check the inactive reports yourself! (http://www.nfl.com/inactives)

Here's the news we can use to set our best lineups today ...

Derek Carr is expected to return under center for the Raiders, which should give a boost to the Oakland passing game. But while a healthy Carr is an upgrade to E.J. Manuel, he wasn't exactly tearing it up before his injury and Amari Cooper is still polishing his Fantasy Bust of the Year trophy. I own Carr in one league, and he's not getting anywhere near my lineup today.

Less certain to suit up this week is Marcus Mariota (hamstring), though I would certainly do everything possible to avoid taking that risk on Monday night. But his return would be better news for the likes of Rashard Matthews and Eric Decker.

Sam Bradford won't play, thankfully, so Case Keenum will get another start. Stefon Diggs has also been ruled out, so this passing game will revolve around Adam Thielen and Kyle Rudolph against Green Bay.

Looks like Ty Montgomery will be back, and he could split carries with Aaron Jones, diminishing both of their values.

Terrance West won't play, and Javorius "Buck" Allen is expected to lead the backfield against the Bears.

Matt Forte is planning to return, but Bilal Powell isn't. Elijah McGuire could get the bulk of the workload, but I wouldn't trust anyone in the Jets backfield right now.

Willie Snead will be a game-time call, but I wouldn't start him in his first game back anyway.

DeVante Parker won't play today, according to reports. Neither will Mohamed Sanu.

I can't imagine starting Eli Manning today, with all of his receivers out, including Sterling Shepard.

Mike Williams will make his NFL debut today. Consider making a preemptive pickup, because if he does well, he'll be a hot waiver-wire target.

Good news in the tight end ranks: Both Rob Gronkowski and Travis Kelce will be back on the field today.

That's it for now. Off to Chi-town. Good luck today, Fools!
