Week 2 Heroes & Zeros

This was a great week to start…

QBs
Aaron Rodgers, Packers – Torched the Skins for 480 yards and 4 TDs, without a turnover.
Philip Rivers, Chargers – Well, bust my chops.  Rivers had another strong afternoon, with 419 yards and 3 TDs, without a turnover.
Mike Vick, Eagles – Looking sharp in Chip Kelly’s offense with 428 passing yards and 2 TDs, plus 23 yards and a 3rd TD.
Sam Bradford, Rams – Amassed 352 passing yards, 3 TDs and 25 rushing yards, plus an INT.
Robert Griffin III, Redskins – It wasn’t pretty, but his 320-yard, 3 TD, 1 INT afternoon was still very salty.

RBs
Marshawn Lynch, Seahawks – Was in full Beast Mode with 98 rushing yards and 2 TDs, plus 3 catches for 37 yards and another score.
James Starks, Packers – Took over for Lacy and collected 132 rushing and 36 receiving yards, plus a TD.
Knowshon Moreno, Broncos – Made his case for the lead job with 93 rushing yards and 2 TDs, plus 3 catches for 14 yards.

WRs
Eddie Royal, Chargers – His 7 receptions produced 90 yards and a TD trifecta.
Calvin Johnson, Lions – No question about it this week; Megatron got his 2 TDs, on 6 receptions for 116 yards.
DeSean Jackson, Eagles – Grabbed 9 balls for 193 yards and a score.
Julio Jones, Falcons – Reeled in 11 passes for 182 yards and a TD.
Pierre Garcon, Redskins – Brought down 8 passes for 143 yards and a score.
Dez Bryant, Cowboys – Showed no ill effects from his ankle injury with 9 catches for 141 yards and 1 TD.
Jordy Nelson, Packers – Only 3 receptions produced 66 yards and 2 TDs.
James Jones, Packers – His 11-catch, 178-yard outing was gold in PPR leagues, though he lost a fumble.

TEs
Martellus Bennett, Bears – Had 7 receptions for 76 yards and 2 scores.
Jimmy Graham, Saints – Paid off his owners’ investment with 10 catches for 179 yards and a TD.

This was a great week to play against…

QBs
Colin Kaepernick, 49ers – Had his worst day as a starter, with just 127 yards passing, 87 rushing, no scores, a fumble and 3 INTs.
Tom Brady, Patriots – When you get just 185 yards and 1 TD out of Brady, it’s a good day.

RBs
Eddie Lacy, Packers – Left with a concussion after a 10-yard run.
David Wilson, Giants – Didn’t fumble, but didn’t even gain 20 yards either.
Maurice Jones-Drew, Jaguars – Just 27 yards and a 1-yard catch before exiting.
Frank Gore, 49ers – Totaled 30 yards from scrimmage.
Steven Ridley, Patriots – Didn’t fumble – but came dangerously close – and posted just 40 yards.
Ray Rice, Ravens – Ran for 36 yards, caught 3 passes for just 9 yards and lost a fumble before exiting with a hip injury.
Steelers RBs – Felix Jones led the way with all of 37 yards.

WRs
Anquan Boldin, 49ers – Caught a meaningless 7-yarder.
Mike Williams, Bucs – Limited to 9 yards on 2 catches.
Lance Moore, Saints – Just a 15-yarder on the day.
Kenny Britt, Titans – Another lackluster performance (4 for 28).
Roddy White, Falcons – The decoy had just 3 catches for 21 yards.
Miles Austin, Cowboys – Only 31 yards on 3 catches.
Larry Fitzgerald, Cardinals – Obviously playing at less than 100%, Fitz caught only 2 balls for 33 yards.
A.J. Green, Bengals – 6 catches for 41 yards is probably the best you can hope for when facing Green.
Reggie Wayne, Colts – Just 46 yards on 5 receptions.
Sidney Rice and Golden Tate, Seahawks – Each caught one ball, for 13 and 19 yards, respectively.

TEs
Jared Cook, Rams – One week after his career best, posts a 10-yarder.
Fred Davis, Redskins – Had a 3-yard catch on the day.
Jason Witten, Cowboys – Just 12 yards on 3 catches.
Vernon Davis, 49ers – Held to 20 yards on 3 balls.

Ks
Randy Bullock, Texans – Had 2 XPs but whiffed on 3 FG attempts.
