Week 4 Heroes & Zeros

This was a great week to start…

QBs

Matt Ryan, Falcons – Passed for a whopping 503 yards and 4 TDs. We’ll forgive the INT.

Ben Roethlisberger, Steelers – Lit up the Chiefs for 300 yards and 5 TDs, without a turnover.

David Carr, Raiders – Tossed 4 TDs and 0 INTs, though just 199 yards in the air.

Blake Bortles, Jaguars – Wasn’t pretty, but his 207 passing yards, 36 rushing yards and 3 combined TDs, without a turnover did the job.

Russell Wilson, Seahawks – Shook off his various ailments to pass for 309 yards and 3 TDs, without a turnover.

RBs

DeMarco Murray, Titans – Rumbled for 95 yards and 2 TDs, and added 3 receptions for 24 yards.

Ezekiel Elliott, Cowboys – Racked up 138 yards and a TD, plus a 19-yard catch.

Melvin Gordon, Chargers – Scored twice while rushing for 36 yards and added 43 yards on 6 catches, though he fumbled.

WRs

Julio Jones, Falcons – Had a dozen catches, 300 yards and a TD. Oh my.

A.J. Green, Bengals – Played like a beast, with 10 catches for 173 yards and a TD.

Antonio Brown, Steelers – Scored twice on 4 catches for 64 yards.

Michael Crabtree, Raiders – Reeled in 7 passes for 88 yards and his first TD trifecta.

Will Fuller, Texans – Put on a show with 7 catches for 81 yards and a TD, plus a dazzling punt-return score.

 

TEs

Jordan Reed, Redskins – Dominated the Browns with 9 catches for 73 yards and a pair of TDs.

D/STs

Bills – Shut out the Patriots at home while racking up 3 sacks and a fumble recovery.

Broncos – Collected 2 INTs, 1 fumble and 5 sacks while holding the Bucs to 7 points.

Ks

Mike Nugent, Bengals – Nailed all 5 of his field goals, from 22, 22, 42, 43 and 47 yards out, plus an XP.

Ryan Tannehill, Dolphins – Passed for 189 yards and 1 TD, but negated it with 2 turnovers.

Matt Stafford, Lions – Picked off twice while passing for just 213 yards, without a score.

Jameis Winston, Buccaneers – Threw 2 INTs while passing for 179 yards, rushing for 19 and scoring just one TD.

Marcus Mariota, Titans – Just 202 passing yards, 20 rushing yards, no TDs and 1 INT.

Trevor Siemian, Broncos – Managed only 68 passing yards and a TD before being carted off with an injury.

Eli Manning, Giants – Passed for 261 yards and an INT, without a TD.

RBs

Jamaal Charles, Chiefs – Got just 2 carries for 7 yards.

Latavius Murray, Raiders – Totaled 24 yards on the day.

Giovani Bernard, Bengals – Rushed for 18 yards and caught 3 passes for 24 more.

Cameron Artis-Payne, Panthers – Continues to ruin his audition, with just 12 rushing yards.

Chris Ivory, Jaguars – Only 29 yards on the ground.

Charles Sims, Buccaneers – Limited to 28 rushing and 7 receiving yards, and fumbled.

Tevin Coleman, Falcons – Held in check with just 33 combined yards.

LeGarrette Blount, Patriots – Failed to dominate as expected, running for just 54 yards and catching 3 balls for 4 yards.

Matt Forte, Jets – Just 27 rushing and 16 receiving yards against the Seahawks.

WRs

Danny Amendola, Patriots – Didn’t do diddly.

Golden Tate, Lions – Pretty much droppable now, after his 1-yard outing.

Torrey Smith, 49ers – Came up virtually empty again, with a 3-yard reception.

DeSean Jackson, Redskins – Embarrassed himself with a solitary 5-yard catch.

DeAndre Hopkins, Texas – Limited to a 4-yarder while his rookie protégé soared.

Julian Edelman, Patriots – Had a huge catch and run on the first play from scrimmage nullified by a penalty, and finished with a 16-yarder.

Tyler Lockett, Seahawks – Finished with a 13-yarder.

Willie Snead, Saints – Caught a 23-yard pass.

Mohamed Sanu, Falcons – Had just 22 of his QB’s 503 yards. See why I never recommend him?

Tajae Sharp, Titans – Only 15 receiving yards for the rook, which was 1 more than veteran Kendall Wright.

Odell Beckham, Jr., Giants – Frustrated and held to 3 catches for 23 yards on MNF.

Brandin Cooks, Saints – Held to 31 yards on 3 catches.

Vincent Jackson, Buccaneers – Caught 3 balls for 38 yards.

Mike Wallace, Ravens – Just 44 yards on 4 catches.

Alshon Jeffery, Bears – He had 46 yards on 3 balls.

Travis Benjamin, Chargers – Caught 4 passes for 48 yards and lost a costly fumble.

TEs

Dwayne Allen, Colts – Just 20 yards on 2 catches in London.

Rob Gronkowski, Patriots – Caught an 11-yarder. Hurry up, Tom!

Dennis Pitta, Ravens – Had 17 yards on 3 balls.

Delanie Walker, Titans – Just 34 yards on 2 receptions.
