Sunday morning updates -- Week 10

Good morning, Fools.  It's getting down to crunch time.  Week 10 and the postseason is within site.  Here's what you need to know to field the best lineup for today's matchups...

As foretold here yesterday, Arian Foster is having back surgery and is done for the season.  Ben Tate gets a huge bump, with the caveat that he's playing with four cracked ribs.  I'm still worried about his durability and performance today against a solid Arizona run defense; but unless he has a setback, Tate will be the man in Houston now.

EJ Manuel is back.  Great news for Stevie Johnson and the Bills' running game.  Marquis Goodwin is worth a flier for those desperate at WR.  Robert Woods is inactive.

It will be interesting to see how Andre Brown does today in his first action since breaking his leg in the preseason.  Let's not romanticize him too much...it's not like he was ever "all that" when he was healthy.  But he is clearly the back with the most upside in New York's offense.  He should make Brandon Jacobs expendable (he's inactive today) and Peyton Hillis irrelevant in short order.

Rashard Mendenhall is expected to start and will get a share of the carries, but there's little doubt that Andre Ellington is the new man in Arizona.  He's a borderline RB2 or flex play today.

Gio Bernard will play with his sore/injured ribs, but don't expect a full workload or big production against the stingy Ravens run defense.

Roddy White is active but it could be another disappointing day for those who start him.  Hopefully you have better options.  Matt Ryan's value edges up just a bit with White back on the field.

Dez Bryant is dealing with back spams, has taken an injection and vows to play tonight.  How well he plays is another story, but I'm certainly not going to be the bonehead that benches him.

Though Julius Thomas is listed as probable, he called himself a game-time decision.  Since he's in the late-afternoon game, he carries some risk of being inactive.  But most observers believe he will be good to go.  And if he plays, you gotta like his chances against the Chargers.

Jermaine Gresham is out for the Bengals today.  Tyler Eifert has upside for those struggling at TE this week.

That's it for now.  Inactives coming via Twitter next.  Good luck, Fools!
