Week 4 Heroes & Zeros


This was a great week to start…

QBs
Matt Ryan, Falcons – Threw for 369 yards and 3 TDs, with 1 INT.
Cam Newton, Panthers – Passed for 215 yards and 2 TDs, and ran for 86 yards and another score.
Drew Brees, Saints – Churned out a monster 446 yards and 3 TDs without turning over the ball.
Aaron Rodgers, Packers – Finally broke out of his funk with 319 yards and 4 TDs, plus 1 INT.
Tom Brady, Patriots – Chalked up 340 yards and 3 TDs, and added a short TD run.
Ryan Fitzpatrick, Bills – Amassed 350 yards and 4 TDs, with 4 picks.
Drew Brees, Saints – Passed for 240 yards and 3 TDs, plus an INT.
Peyton Manning, Broncos – Threw for 338 yards and 3 TDs without a turnover.
Kevin Kolb, Cardinals – Passed for 324 yards and 3 TDs, minus 2 INTs.

RBs
Jamaal Charles, Chiefs – Raced for 92 yards and a TD, plus 3 catches for 23 yards and another TD, though he lost 2 fumbles.
Michael Turner, Falcons – Showed he’s not washed up, with 103 rushing yards and 3 catches for 68 yards and a TD.
Stevan Ridley, Patriots – Ran for 106 yards and 2 TDs.

WRs
Brian Hartline, Dolphins – Reeled in 12 passes for 253 yards and a TD.
Roddy White, Falcons – His 8 catches netted 169 yards and 2 TDs.
Marques Colston, Saints – Broke out of his slump with 9 receptions for 153 yards and a score.
James Jones, Packers – Pitched in 5 catches for 56 yards and 2 TDs.

TEs
Scott Chandler, Bills – Caught 4 passes for 62 yards and 2 TDs.
Jason Witten, Cowboys – Notched 13 receptions for 112 yards and a garbage-time TD.  Welcome back.

D/STs
Vikings – Scored on both a kickoff and punt return, had 5 sacks and a turnover, and held Detroit to 13 points.
49ers – Collected 4 turnovers, 3 sacks, a fumble return TD and shut out the Jets.

Ks
Greg Zuerlein, Rams -- Nailed field goals of 24, 48, 58 and 60 yards.

This was a great week to play against…

QBs
Jake Locker, Titans – Knocked out of the game before he could complete a pass.
Christian Ponder, Vikings – Just 111 yards without a score.
Alex Smith, 49ers – Led his team to 34 points, but had none of them himself.  Just 143 passing and 12 rushing yards.
Mark Sanchez, Jets – Stunk it up with 103 passing yards and 2 turnovers.
Carson Palmer, Raiders – Just 202 passing yards without a score.
Tony Romo, Cowboys – His 307 yards passing and 1 TD were undone by 5 INTs.

RBs
C.J. Spiller, Bills – Managed to give it a go, but only rushed for 33 yards.
Darren McFadden, Raiders – Limited to 34 rushing and 4 receiving yards.
Shonn Greene, Jets – Just 34 yards, but then again, every week is a good week to play against Greene.
Ryan Williams, Cardinals – Only 26 rushing yards in his first career start.
Doug Martin, Bucs – Only 33 rushing and 9 receiving yards.
Matt Forte, Bears – It was nice to see him out there, but he only posted 52 yards on the night.

WRs
Brandon Lafell, Panthers – Held catch-less.
Julio Jones, Falcons – Averaged 30 yards per catch. Sadly, he only had one.

Stevie Johnson, Bills – Limited to 2 receptions for 23 yards.
Malcom Floyd, Chargers – Same for him.
Michael Crabtree, 49ers – He only got 15 yards on his 2 receptions.
Santonio Holmes, Jets – Just 29 yards on 4 catches, plus a fumble, before leaving with an injury.
Andre Johnson, Texans – It’s not often he’s held to 56 yards on 3 receptions.

TEs
Kyle Rudolph, Vikings – Only 8 yards on his 2 receptions.
Vernon Davis, 49ers – Just 28 yards on 2 receptions.

We didn’t see them coming…

Jackie Battle, Chargers – Ran for 39 yards and 1 TD, and caught 4 passes for 42 yards and a second TD.
Brandon Bolden, RB, Patriots – Came out of nowhere to rush for 137 yards and a TD.
Andre Roberts, Cardinals – Caught 6 passes for 118 yards and 2 TDs.
