Week 5 Heroes & Zeros

This was a great week to start…

QBs
John McCown, Browns – Passed for a whopping 457 yards and 2 TDs, and added 12 yards and another score on the ground, all without a turnover.
Eli Manning, Giants – Torched the 49ers for 441 yards and 3 TDs with an INT, plus 11 on the ground.
Blake Bortles, Jaguars – Passed for 303 yards and 4 TDs, plus an INT, with 21 rushing yards to boot.
Andy Dalton, Bengals – Overcame a tough Seattle defense with 331 passing yards and 2 TDs, plus an INT, along with 18 yards and a rushing TD.
Joe Flacco, Ravens – Passed for 210 yards and 1 TD, and added 2 short TD plunges, without a turnover.
Tom Brady, Patriots – Snuck in a short TD and passed for 275 yards and 2 more, without a blemish.

RBs
Doug Martin, Bucs – Had his best game in years, with 123 rushing yards and 2 TDs, plus 35 receiving yards and a 3rd TD.
Thomas Rawls, Seahawks – Rumbled for 169 yards and a TD in his second start.
Devonta Freeman, Falcons – Rumbled for 153 yards and a TD, plus 7 receptions for 44 yards.
Justin Forsett, Ravens – Amassed 121 rushing yards and a TD, plus 4 catches for 49 yards, though he left late with an ankle injury.

WRs
Allen Hurns, Jaguars – Reeled in 5 receptions for 116 yards and a TD.
Allen Robinson, Jaguars – Scored twice on 7 receptions for 72 yards.
Julian Edelman, Patriots – Caught just 4 passes but turned them into 120 yards and a TD.
Andre Johnson, Colts – Celebrated his return to Houston with 6 receptions for 77 yards and 2 TDs.
Odell Beckham, Jr, Giants – Pulled down 7 balls for 121 yards and a TD.
DeAndre Hopkins, Texans – Soared in PPR leagues with 11 receptions for 169 yards.
Jaelen Strong, Texans – Scored twice on two catches for 53 yards, including a Hail Mary.

TEs
Antonio Gates, Chargers – Returned with a flourish, catching 9 passes for 92 yards and 2 TDs.
Tyler Eifert, Bengals – Torched the Seahawks with 8 catches for 90 yards and a pair of TDs.
Gary Barnidge, Browns – Had his best game as a pro, with 8 receptions for 139 yards and a TD.

D/STs
Broncos – Generated 4 sacks, an INT, 2 fumble recoveries and a fumble return TD, while holding Oakland to 10 points.
Packers – Registered 3 sacks, 4 INTs, returned one of those INTs for a TD and held St. Louis to 10 points.


This was a great week to play against…

QBs
Peyton Manning, Broncos – Looked his age while throwing for just 266 yards without a score, but with 2 INTs.
Matt Ryan, Falcons – Turned the ball over 3 times while passing for 254 yards and rushing for 20.
Nick Foles, Rams – Coughed up 4 INTs while passing for a meager 141 yards and 1 TD.
Marcus Mariota, Titans – Passed for 187 yards with an INT and not a TD, and ran for 47 yards.
Matt Stafford, Lions – Benched after passing for just 188 yards and 1 TD, with 3 INTs.
                                                               
RBs
C.J. Spiller, Saints – Ran for 10 yards and lost 8 yards on his 3 receptions.
Alfred Morris, Redskins – Ran for only 15 yards.
Ameer Abdullah, Lions – Totaled just 26 yards and lost one of his two fumbles.
C.J. Anderson, Broncos – Those still hoping for production got just 40 combined yards out of him.
Eddie Lacy, Packers – Combined for just 35 yards against the Rams.
Jamaal Charles, Chiefs – Was on his way to a decent game, with 58 rushing and 26 receiving yards, before blowing out his knee.

WRs
Donte Moncrief, Colts – Had a 3-yarder.
Nelson Agholor, Eagles – Just a 5-yarder for the rookie.
Leonard Hankerson, Falcons – Just a 13-yard catch on the day.
Vincent Jackson, Bucs – Limited to a 14-yard reception.
Roddy White, Falcons – Another disappointing effort, with 23 yards on 2 receptions.
Randall Cobb, Packers – He got 23 yards on 3 catches.
Kendall Wright, Titans – Held to 29 yards on 3 receptions.
Terrance Williams, Cowboys – Marginalized with just 2 catches for 30 yards.
Mike Evans, Bucs – Just 41 yards on 3 receptions.
Torrey Smith, 49ers – Grabbed 2 for 42.
Antonio Brown, Steelers – Misses Big Ben, catching just 3 passes for 45 yards.

TEs
Charles Clay, Bills – Held to a 7-yard catch.
Dwayne Allen, Colts – Had a 21-yarder.
Coby Fleener, Colts – Only 9 yards on 2 catches.
Jimmy Graham, Seahawks – Just 30 yards on 3 balls.
Jason Witten, Cowboys – Ruined his 33 yards on 5 catches with a lost fumble.

Travis Kelce, Chiefs – Limited to 35 yards on 3 catches.
